Cut your eyes out You don’t wanna see what I can see
Cut your ears off You don’t wanna hear What I have to say
But I have to stay
You were always in the way But girl, you know that I was dead that day You left me One night in Detroit In August 1949
Your eyes Call me inside Oh, how they shine
Black and blue eyes He’s so scared to die All she wants to do is cry
Lie down with me Let out a long sigh As I stare in your eyes
I miss your eyes
Cut your eyes out You don’t wanna see what I can be
Cut your ears off You don’t wanna hear What I have to say
I'm a sucker for lyrics. This song is a beautiful sadness to end a summer with. I love every track on this album but this one is comfortable to me, for better or worse. It captures a feeling I think unfortunately most of us have felt. Surf Curse's whole sound reminds me of loss and no more so then here. logansaxby
No album has stuck with me as much as this has, and it will continue to do so. Supported me through both the highs and lows and I will forever cherish it for that. midnightred
